Bad Beat Jackpot on Merge Gaming Reaches $1 Million
01/14/2012On early Saturday morning, the Merge Gaming progressive Bad Beat Jackpot eclipsed the $1 million dollar mark, the largest jackpot currently running and among the largest jackpots in online poker history.
To qualify for a Bad Beat Jackpot on Merge Gaming, you must first be seated at specially marked "Bad Beat" tables available at $0.50/$1.00-$2/$4 at No Limit Hold'em and $1/$2-$30/$60 at Fixed Limit Hold'em.
When seated at one of these eligible tables, a player must lose with Quad Sevens or higher. Assuming both hole cards are used and at least four players are dealt into the hand, a bad beat jackpot prize will be triggered. The loser of the hand will be paid 35% of the amount, or $350k at current levels. The winner of the hand won't feel too bad either as they will be paid 17.5% of the prize amount.
